Housing
Laundry-room rules
Most Swedish buildings share a laundry room (tvättstuga) that you book in advance. Respect the booking and clean up after yourself.
How it works
- Book a time slot on the booking board, with a tag, or in an app — House rules differ between landlords and housing associations — your contract and the building’s ordningsregler decide the details.
- Only use your own slot. There is no general right to take over someone else’s time unless the house rules say so.
- Clean the machines, filters and floor when you finish.
- Do not leave laundry in the drying room after your time ends.
- If machines are broken, report it to the landlord. The landlord must maintain shared spaces.
