What is 1177?
1177 is Sweden’s healthcare service by phone and online: nurse advice around the clock, booking, your medical records and messages to your clinic.

Calling 1177
A nurse assesses your problem, gives advice, and tells you where to go and how urgent it is. The call costs your normal phone rate. If you do not speak Swedish, ask for English or for an interpreter.
For children’s emergency departments in some regions (for example Stockholm’s barnakut), you are asked to call 1177 before you go.
