The taxi driving test
Bring your valid Swedish or EEA category B licence and valid ID. You can book Trafikverket’s car (manual or automatic, hire SEK 800). The test has three parts:
- Vehicle inspection: find problems and suggest how to fix them.
- Passenger safety: a task from the examiner, such as fitting a child car seat.
- Driving in town and country for at least 35 minutes to a destination, including an oral task you must remember (notes allowed). You must be able to find the way without GPS.
Fee: SEK 1,000 weekdays, SEK 1,400 evenings and weekends. A passed driving test may be at most one year old when you apply.
