How to report your move
Find your apartment number
A four-digit number showing floor and position — on the door, mailbox, building entrance or rental contract. If unsure, ask the landlord. Read more about apartment numbers.
Report online
Log in to Skatteverket’s change-of-address e-service with BankID. Without BankID, print form SKV 7845 (Swedish) and post it.
Do it on time
Report before you move or within one week. Then the new address counts from your moving day.
Redirect your post separately
Reporting to Skatteverket is not the same as forwarding your mail. To have post sent on from your old address, order mail forwarding (eftersändning) from Svensk Adressändring AB. It costs a fee and usually runs for a year; it does not change your registered address.
