Banking & BankID
Autogiro and e-faktura
Two ways to stop worrying about due dates: automatic withdrawals (autogiro) and invoices sent straight to your bank (e-faktura).
Which is which
| Autogiro | E-faktura | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | The company takes the money from your account on the due date | The invoice arrives in your internet bank; you approve or schedule it |
| Good for | Fixed bills: rent, phone, insurance, gym | Bills that vary: electricity |
| You must | Have money in the account on the due date | Approve each invoice (or turn on automatic approval) |
| How to start | Sign up with the company or in your internet bank | Choose e-faktura in your internet bank or with the company |
Some companies also send invoices to a digital mailbox such as Kivra, where you can open and pay them. Whichever you use, check your bank statement each month.
