Types of employment
| Type | Means |
|---|---|
| Tillsvidareanställning | Permanent (open-ended) employment |
| Provanställning | Probationary employment, at most six months by law; if neither side gives notice by the end, it becomes permanent |
| Tidsbegränsad anställning | Fixed-term employment |
| Timanställning / behovsanställning | Hourly, as-needed work — often no guaranteed hours or sick pay |
