Study · Task 6 of 6
Prepare for your move
Plan housing, finances and your first weeks in Sweden.
What to do
- Housing: apply for student housing through your university as early as possible — queues in Stockholm, Uppsala and Lund are long.
- Working while studying: for bachelor's and master's permits granted on or after 11 June 2026 you may work up to 15 hours a week during term. Work in June, July and August, and internships that are part of your programme, are exceptions. After two semesters you may work more.
- Read the arrival roadmap so you can register with Skatteverket quickly after landing.
Steps
