Prepare documents for travel
Pack your permit card and original documents in your hand luggage.
What to do
You will need your originals when you register with Skatteverket and when you open a bank account.
- Keep your passport and residence permit card with you.
- Bring originals of your degree, Nikah nama and birth certificates, with certified translations.
- Your Pakistani driving licence is valid in Sweden until you have been registered for one year.
- Keep scans of everything in your email or cloud storage.
- Swedish winters are cold — bring a proper jacket or budget to buy one when you arrive.

- Bring a winter jacket, or budget to buy one
- Book your flight once your card has arrived
